A KEIGHLEY opticians is staging a family charity day.
The event takes place at Specsavers, in the Airedale Shopping Centre, tomorrow (August 31), from 11am to 3pm.
Attractions will include a tombola, raffles, lucky dips, face painting, glitter tattoos, a bouncy castle, refreshments and a bake sale.
The target is to raise £1,000, and optometry director Raj Gill has pledged to shave off his hair if the goal is met, in a bid to encourage further donations.
Proceeds will go towards a new unit enabling parents to stay overnight at Bradford Royal Infirmary’s neo-natal unit.
"I’m hoping to spur people into digging into their pockets and donating to our fundraiser – no matter how big or small the amount," says Raj.
"Whether it’s 50p or £50, every donation makes a difference."
