PEOPLE are being asked for their views on plans for a multi-storey car park at Airedale Hospital.

The facility is proposed as part of the preparatory process for a new, state-of-the-art hospital on the Steeton site.

It would help provide parking for patients, visitors and staff whilst the replacement hospital is being built.

Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is seeking public comment, at airedale-trust.nhs.uk/about-us/securing-the-future-of-airedale/car-parking

Foluke Ajayi, the trust's chief executive, says: "One of the first things we need to do before we can build the new hospital is make arrangements for parking.

"We really need to hear everyone’s views, so that they can be taken on board during the design and planning process.

"We've talked to people about parking in the past. This survey will add to the information we already have.

“Whether you are a patient, visitor, staff member or local resident, we want to hear from you.

"We're keen to hear what would make the car park as convenient and easy-to-use as possible, and also to get people’s thoughts on how it could look and feel.

"Your views will help inform the final designs."

A report on the feedback will be published later this year.

Once designs are complete, a planning application will be submitted to Bradford Council, when there will be another opportunity for people to comment.
