A COFFEE morning is being staged at Cowling to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The event is being hosted by the village hall on Saturday, September 28, between 10am and 1pm.
Attractions will include a tombola, raffle, and book and cake stalls.
Admission is £3 per person, which will include tea or coffee and home baking.
A spokesperson says: "Most of us have been touched by cancer, either personally or through relatives or friends, so we would urge people to please come along and support our village event – help us to raise vital funds to help Macmillan!"
Each year, Macmillan Cancer Support encourages individuals, organisations, communities and businesses to hold a fundraising coffee morning.
This year's official Macmillan Coffee Day is Friday, September 27, but organisers can hold events anytime.
A charity spokesperson says: "Since 1990, the coffee morning initiative has brought together millions of people from across the UK to have fun and raise money for a good cause.
"But you don’t have to host a Macmillan coffee morning to take part, you can also go to one!
"They are taking place in all sorts of venues including community centres, cafes, pubs, schools, hospitals and sports clubs."
