SMASH-hit musical Sister Act is being performed in Keighley.
The production will be staged by Keighley Musical Theatre Company at the town's Victoria Hall, from October 13 to 19.
Based on the 1992 film starring Whoopi Goldberg, Sister Act follows the adventures of disco diva Deloris Van Cartier.
She is sent to a convent as part of a witness protection scheme.
And through her larger-than-life personality, she transforms the nuns' previously quiet lives.
"We are back and ready to bring a heavenly dose of fun to the stage with this hit musical!" says a spokesperson for Keighley Musical Theatre Company.
"Prepare for a feelgood night of soulful tunes, dazzling performances and a whole lot of laughs as we transform Keighley into the ultimate convent for a show that you won’t want to miss.
"Following in the glittering footsteps of our past productions, Sister Act promises to deliver all the drama, humour and toe-tapping energy that our audiences know and love."
Heading up the cast as Deloris is Leanne Watson.
"Leanne's powerhouse vocals and natural comedic timing are sure to bring the house down," adds the spokesperson.
"Joining her is the ever-talented Laura Judge as the stern but lovable mother superior, who has got her work cut out keeping Deloris in check.
"And the ensemble cast features some of Keighley’s finest talent – including Chloe Judge as the sweet and shy Sister Mary Robert, Leah Ogrizovic as the joyful Sister Mary Patrick, and the charismatic James Windle as the charming yet clueless officer Eddie Souther, who’s harbouring a not-so-secret crush on Deloris. Together with our vibrant chorus of nuns, they’ll have you clapping, laughing and maybe even dancing in the aisles!
"Director Giles Atkinson and musical director Wil Jones have worked their magic to create a show that’s packed with joyful gospel numbers. There is brilliant choreography by Judith Chapman, and unforgettable moments. Expect stunning costumes, lively sets and all the heart and humour that has made Sister Act a global sensation.
"Whether you’re a lifelong musical fan or just looking for a fabulous night out, this is the perfect way to lift your spirits and let loose."
Behind-the-scenes rehearsal photos and production updates are posted on the company's Facebook and Instagram pages.
Tickets range in price from £14 to £18, and discounts are available for group bookings.
