KEIGHLEY Horticultural Society is celebrating a record-breaking show.
The event, at Marley playing fields, attracted around 600 individual entries.
A number of new classes, for youngsters aged up to 15, were introduced.
Alongside decorating veg and flower arranging, classes included a vase of chrysanthemums, vase of dahlias, biggest sunflower head, a 'cucurbit' – cucumber, courgette, squash, pumpkin or melon – any other vegetable, and wonky veg.
"The annual show – our 186th – was bigger than ever," says a society spokesperson.
"We've been working hard throughout the year supporting gardeners of all ages, and encouraging them to take part.
"The society was pleased to welcome experienced national growers, alongside local gardeners showing for the first time.
"There was a record number of entries in both the novice and children’s sections, which is very encouraging for the future of show gardening. And the new classes for children to show produce they themselves had grown were very popular.
"A 'tasting table', launched at last year’s show, was back. Visitors were invited to taste cakes and flans which incorporated home-grown garden ingredients.
"A big 'thank you' goes to all those who took part in the show and to the many visitors who attended."
