STAFF from a Silsden dental firm have staged a litter pick.
Members of the Ethoss Regeneration Ltd team targeted green areas and pathways in the town – and collected over 11.6kg of waste, equivalent in weight to an average car tyre.
The initiative was held to mark World Clean Up Day.
Alex Holdcroft, Ethoss Regeneration Ltd marketing manager and member of the company's corporate social responsibility team, says: "It’s bittersweet – in just an hour we helped make our little corner of the world a bit brighter, but 11kg of litter is really disheartening to see.
"We live in a beautiful part of the world and should all do our bit to keep litter off the streets.
"At Ethoss Regeneration, we are proud to be supporting our community in any way we can."
The clean-up team headed from the firm's Silsden Business Park base, along Keighley Road into the town centre.
