A REET good talk is promised at Lees.
Rod Dimbleby, chair of the Yorkshire Dialect Society, is guest speaker at the next Lees Methodist Church Meeting Point session.
The event takes place at the church, opposite Lees Primary School, on Wednesday, October 9.
Tea and biscuits will be served from 1.45pm, and the talk starts at 2pm. Everyone is welcome.
"Rod is a very well-known speaker on the subject of dialect," says Maurice Baren, for Meeting Point.
"This is a talk which should not be missed if you are interested in all things Yorkshire.
"Some years ago Rod taught German at Oakbank School in Keighley, and I am sure he would be delighted to meet up again with some of the pupils from that time!".
