A FORMER Airedale Hospital doctor has released her debut novel.
Dr Rachael Gray wrote A Little Bird Told Me during the pandemic, when she headed up the Department of Clinical Health Psychology at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.
"With all the pressures we were under I sought a creative outlet – and turning my hand to the novel helped," she says.
"Through the book I want to pay tribute to my fantastic colleagues, and patients – it was a privilege to work with you."
Rachael is donating 20 per cent of the royalties from sales of the novel, in its first year, to Airedale Hospital & Community Charity.
Jodie Hearnshaw, the charity's manager, says: "This is an exciting time for Rachael and we’re delighted to be her chosen charity. We wish her every success with the novel."
A Little Bird Told Me is available from Amazon, at amazon.co.uk/Little-Bird-Told-Me-thrilling/dp/1917214421, and some bookshops.
