NEARLY a dozen pubs and clubs across the Keighley and South Craven area feature in the latest Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) Good Beer Guide.
The 52nd edition of the top-selling guide lists around 4,500 of the best hostelries in the UK, including more than 900 new entries.
Information for the book is collated by CAMRA volunteers.
Entries include the Fleece Inn, Haworth; Brown Cow and Taylor’s on the Green, Keighley; Oakworth Social Club; the Bay Horse at Oxenhope; the Applegarth Club, Riddlesden; The Counting House, Silsden; the Friendly and Wuthering Heights, Stanbury; the New Inn, Cononley, and the Craven Brew Co Tap Room and Gallagher’s Ale House, Cross Hills.
CAMRA's Keighley and Craven branch held an event at The Counting House to celebrate the inclusion in the guide of the pubs and clubs from this area.
The organisation's national chair, Ash Corbett-Collins, congratulates all those listed.
He adds: "CAMRA’s mission is to ensure support from the Government as well as tangible legislation to protect pubs. By next year’s edition of the guide, we want to be talking about the beer and pub trade growing with the support of communities and Parliament alike."
