A KEIGHLEY community interest company is offering an "exciting" opportunity to someone with a love of the outdoors.
Yorgreen CIC, in collaboration with Fruit Works Co-operative, is providing an 18-month apprenticeship.
The successful candidate will split their time between the two organisations, taking part in activities such as tree planting, woodland and river corridor management, countryside improvement work and habitat surveys.
Part-time study towards a Level 2 Countryside Worker qualification at Craven College, Skipton, is also included.
Yorgreen's latest recruitment comes soon after the CIC – in partnership with Trees For Cities – took on a trainee, Kat Loach.
She is already leading on projects offering training and skills opportunities to young people.
Shaun O'Hare, for Yorgreen, says: "There is a lot of professional satisfaction when you recruit an apprentice and watch that person grow in confidence, develop their skills and become a fully-fledged member of the team.
"To have the opportunity to recruit again is fantastic and we are delighted to be teaming up with Fruit Works Co-operative to offer this exciting new apprenticeship.
"We’re particularly interested in receiving applications from young people – aged 16 to 29 – who are from ethnically diverse backgrounds, are living with a disability or are from low-income households. No prior work experience in the environment sector is needed.
"The person will be paid the Real Living Wage."

The deadline for applications is next Sunday (October 6).
