HOUSING provider Incommunities has launched a £60,000 fund for community groups.

Any voluntary group whose project directly benefits Incommunities customers can apply for funding.

Grants of up to £2,500, £5,000 or £7,500 are available, for events or activities.

Applications are currently open in the first round of the programme, which is for organisations in Keighley and Bradford South.

Submissions must be made by 4pm on Sunday, October 13.

Susan Godbold, for Incommunities, says: "The community fund continues to strengthen the amazing work that voluntary groups deliver for our residents.

"We introduced the fund last year and had some great feedback from the groups we supported.

"Projects could include food banks, children’s playgroups, social clubs or art classes – anything that is well-used by people who live in homes provided by Incommunities.

"By offering financial help, we hope that the projects or activities we support will bring people together. We urge groups to apply."

Applications can be made at incommunities.co.uk/community-fund-application

Recipients will be chosen by an independent panel comprising Incommunities customers, staff and board members.

Successful applicants for the Keighley grants will be announced at a celebratory event to be held at Keighley Civic Centre, North Street, on October 23.
