DEMENTIA Friendly Keighley is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
And the charity is marking the milestone with a special annual general meeting.
The event – at Keighley Civic Centre on Saturday, October 12, between 2pm and 4pm – will include a performance by the Voices of Yorkshire choir and a 'scones and samosas' afternoon tea.
Helen Bradley, chair of trustees at Dementia Friendly Keighley, says: "We are delighted to be celebrating 10 years of such an incredible and impactful charity.
"This milestone is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on our journey, from where we began to where we stand today.
"We invite everyone to join us in recognising our work raising dementia awareness throughout the Keighley community, and to meet our founder members and patron Dr Mohammed Akhlak Rauf.
"We're grateful to Keighley Town Council for generously providing the venue for the event."
She adds: "Dementia Friendly Keighley aims to make a positive difference in the lives of all adults in the area affected by dementia, by raising awareness of the condition and providing advice, support, information, activities and a welcoming environment at our base in the Airedale Shopping Centre."
Anyone wishing to attend the event can register by emailing info@dfk.org.uk
