A 'SOCIAL supermarket' which is helping to tackle food poverty in Keighley has launched a pop-up shop.
The Good Food Shop, based in the Airedale Shopping Centre, is operating a service at Hainworth Wood Community Centre.
Sessions will take place at the venue on Thursday, October 17, between 11am and 1pm and then on October 31, November 14 and 28, and December 12. Dates are also to be announced for next year.
A wide range of items is available, including canned and household goods, fresh fruit and vegetables, and toiletries.
Initial membership is £1, and it costs £5 to do a shop, choosing 10 items.
Good Food Shop co-ordinator Steve Sprange, who is running the pop-up facility with colleague Lisa Robinson, says: "We've always strived to reach out to communities unable for various reasons to access our main shop, so at times have run pop-up facilities. I'm so pleased we have now begun operating in a new area of Keighley.
"Myself and Lisa would love to see people at the centre, where not only can you do a shop, but also stay for a cuppa and a chat."
