A 'KEEP Keighley Clean' initiative has been launched.
Keighley Business Improvement District (BID) is spearheading the venture, which got underway with a town-centre litter pick.
BID board members, MP Robbie Moore, town mayor Councillor Gulfraz Hussain, Keighley College representatives, town and district councillors and other volunteers took part in the event.
Sarah Broadbent, Keighley BID manager, says: "One of the objectives of BID is to improve the look and feel of Keighley for businesses, visitors and residents, so that we can all have pride in our town and encourage more people to come here.
"This litter pick was just the first of many projects planned to help keep Keighley clean. We would like to thank all the volunteers who attended on the day. They worked hard to make a real visible difference to our streets."
Two more litter picks are being held, on Wednesday, October 30, and Thursday, November 21, both at 12.30pm.
Volunteers are asked to meet at Keighley Civic Centre, in North Street, both days.
Keighley BID is also inviting suggestions from the public as to which streets and areas within the town centre should be included in future litter picks.
People can email their suggestions to hello@keighleybid.com
