PEOPLE in the district struggling with their mental health are being urged to seek support.
Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership says a wide range of help is available.
The organisation issued its message ahead of World Mental Health Day, this Thursday (October 10).
People can access support tailored to their needs via the Healthy Minds website, at healthyminds.services, or by calling 01274 438884.
Dr Junaid Azam, a GP and clinical lead for Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership, says: "All year round we do our best to make people aware of the support that they can access to help with their mental health.
"World Mental Health Day gives us an opportunity to shine a light on people’s emotional wellbeing and to continue to raise awareness so that we encourage people to talk about how they are feeling.
"On the Healthy Minds website there is a directory of services, and you have the option of filtering out the kind of support you are looking for to meet your needs, or those of someone you care about.
"People have a number of options to get help in a way that is best suited to them. This can be face-to-face, over the phone, or through support groups or an app, and they can also access practical mental health tips and advice.
"It is important that we take care of our physical health too, as both mental and physical health are equally important to our overall wellbeing. Someone who has depression has an increased risk of long-lasting conditions like diabetes, heart disease and stroke. There are a number of things you can do to keep yourself physically well, like exercising, eating well and stopping smoking."
Anyone suffering anxiety and depression can also obtain help from the NHS Bradford District and Craven Talking Therapies service.
Its operations service manager, Naomi Holdsworth, says: "For people who are experiencing common mental health problems, such as anxiety and depression, the service will be able to support them through talking therapy.
"You will be able to access group courses, as well as other options like phone advice or one-to-one sessions, which take place at a range of locations across the district. Our website – bdctalkingtherapies.nhs.uk – offers a variety of free guides and tools to help people better manage life’s ups and downs."
