A HEALTH and wellbeing event at Denholme has been hailed by organisers as a "great success".
A wide range of advice and information was on offer.
The event was hosted by Denholme Community Centre, and supported by a number of GP practices and other organisations.
Various health checks were available, including for people's height and weight, and blood pressure readings.
Visitors could also find out more about activities and support in the area.
And eligible patients were able to obtain flu and Covid vaccinations.
Funding for the event was provided by Affinity Care.
A light lunch and drinks were available.
A spokesperson for the community centre says: "This was the first event of its kind for Denholme and was a great success.
"It was welcomed by villagers, and so good for the community.
"We would like to thank all those who took part and supported the event, and everyone who came along."
Denholme Community Centre is based in the former Mechanics building, and was founded in 2018, when the premises were threatened with closure. A group of residents became trustees and took over responsibility for the running of the site, which is now a thriving venue for activities and events.
