KEIGHLEY-based Timothy Taylor's has teamed up with another brewery to produce a new stout.
The Knowle Spring brewer worked with Northern Monk for over a year on creating the tipple.
And the result is 4.4 per cent Northern Rising, which is being released in cask and keg at the breweries' own venues and in pubs across the UK. Plus, 440ml nitro stout cans will be available in supermarkets and online.
Roast barley and crystal malt are amongst the ingredients of the brew, which promises a "malt-forward and satisfying chocolate flavour".
Andy Leman, Timothy Taylor's head brewer, says: "Northern Monk is a fellow Yorkshire brewery that we’ve been proud to call a friend for many years, and one that has produced some of the most exciting craft beers in the country. It’s been fantastic to blend its craft beer credentials with our real ale expertise to produce Northern Rising."
Russell Bisset, co-founder and managing director of Leeds-based Northern Monk, says: "We’ve been huge fans of Timothy Taylor’s for years, and a collaboration with them has always been on our bucket list.
"We had fun getting together and developing different concepts on what we could do together, and landed on the stout."
