A KEIGHLEY company is in the running for a prestigious regional accolade.
Cobbydog is a finalist in the manufacturing excellence category of the Yorkshire & Humberside Family Business Awards.
There were a record number of entries in this year's awards programme.
Winners will be announced in a ceremony at the Royal Armouries, Leeds, on November 22.
Matthew Horner, director of dog-food manufacturer Cobbydog, says: "We are all immensely proud to be shortlisted for the manufacturing excellence award, which we believe represents the unwavering commitment and tireless efforts of our entire team."
The awards scheme is organised by The Family Business Community, whose co-founder and director Sue Howorth says: "The quality of this year’s entries made the judges’ decisions extremely challenging. The finalists should be incredibly proud of their achievements. We’re looking forward to celebrating with all the family businesses in our region."
She will co-host the awards ceremony with colleague Dave Clarkson and food and drink writer and TV presenter, Nigel Barden.
Mr Clarkson said: "We were thrilled by the level of commitment and attention to detail shown by all the applicants. The strength and diversity of the entries has truly impressed us."
Cobbydog was founded in 1976, at premises in Silsden.
Ten years later the growing business moved to a larger site in Keighley, where the company remains today.
