MORE pension credit eligibility drop-in sessions are planned following the success of two events held earlier this month.

Half the 16 people who attended a session at Central Hall in Keighley discovered that they were able to claim pension credit, attendance allowance or other additional income such as housing benefit.

It was calculated that collectively, they will benefit by £26,932 a year.

And at a similar event staged at the Clarke Foley Centre, Ilkley, 10 of the 15 attendees found out they were eligible and together stood to benefit to the tune of £22,455.

The sessions were organised by Keighley & Ilkley Labour Party, in partnership with Citizens Advice Bradford and Airedale and Law Centre. Age UK was also represented.

Now two more drops-ins are planned, where people can go along to check whether they may be entitled to pension credit or other payments.

The first is at The Hub, Skipton Road, Steeton, on Wednesday, November 13, and the second at Silsden Town Hall on Wednesday, November 20.

Both are between 9.30am and 12.30pm.

A free cuppa and biscuits will be available.
