A PERMANENT art and heritage display area has been created in Silsden Town Hall.
The inaugural installation – in the lobby and stairs area of the Kirkgate building – will be showcased at a coffee morning on Saturday, November 9, between 9.30am and noon. Admission is free.
Silsden Local History Group and the town hall Friends are behind the initiative, which follows the success of an art exhibition held earlier this year.
The new display, funded by the Harry Beverley Tillotson Trust, features a mix of artefacts and artworks by locally-based artists celebrating Silsden's past.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
In the new year, a Textile in Art exhibition will feature a large artwork depicting Silsden life.
