LORD Mayor of Bradford Councillor Bev Mullaney took part in a ceremony to mark the district-wide launch of this year's Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
Also present at City Hall were Bradford Poppy Appeal co-organiser Barbara Allsopp, and Gillian Carr, appeal manager for Bradford, Calderdale and Kirklees.
Councillor Mullaney said: "This very important annual appeal not only commemorates the sacrifices made by members of our armed forces and their families, but also funds the many services provided by the Royal British Legion."
People across the district will join with the rest of the nation in remembrance on Sunday, November 10.
In Keighley, a parade will leave Russell Street at 9.35am and make its way to St Andrew's Church for a 10am service.
Afterwards, the parade will head to Town Hall Square where at 10.50am there will be acts of remembrance and prayers, followed by a two-minute silence and wreath laying.
