A 'KNITATHON' has been staged in support of an organisation that helps bereaved families of babies.
Members of Steeton Knit and Natter Group knitted and crocheted items non-stop for 10 hours.
Their effort, which also included a sponsored silence by one member, was in aid of Sunbeam Support Group.
Around £1,570 was raised.
Steeton Knit and Natter Group meets at The Hub – at Skipton Road in the village – every Monday and Friday, from 1pm to 4pm.
Members take part in a wide range of social activities and organise charity fundraising initiatives.
A spokesperson says: "We were delighted to help Sunbeam, a small group that supports parents who have lost babies through stillbirth and miscarriages. The group is 100 per cent reliant on donations."
