OVER 70 people attended a Keighley book launch.
The event, at Central Hall, showcased a new book of political cartoons by Alan Hardman.
Mr Hardman and a group of friends had begun collating some of the cartoons before his death earlier this year.
Now the work appears in Need Not Greed.
Family and friends of Mr Hardman travelled from across the north and other parts of the country to be at the event, which also featured an exhibition of the cartoonist's work.
Steve Davison, of Keighley Trades Union Council, thanked everyone who had contributed to the project.
He told guests: "Today is not an occasion for a long speech, but to allow Alan to speak to us all through his exhibited cartoons and book."
And Brian Ingham – a lifelong friend and colleague of Mr Hardman – gave a brief talk about his life, and spoke about some of the history surrounding the cartoons' creation.
Mr Davison says: "Brian hoped that a new generation of Labour movement activists would see the cartoons and become inspired by them.
"Dozens of books were sold at the event."
Originally from a Barnsley coal mining family, Mr Hardman lived at Laycock for many years.
