REALITY is the latest offering from Keighley Film Club.

The acclaimed movie centres on a former American intelligence specialist, Reality Leigh Winner, played by Sydney Sweeney, who was sent to prison for the unauthorised release of Government information to the media about Russian interference in the 2016 US elections.

Club spokesperson, Alan Watkinson, says: "Imagine returning from a shopping trip to be confronted and arrested by two security officials.

"Much of the thrilling drama of this explosive film focusses on the intensive, exhausting and sometimes brutal interrogation techniques.

"Winner was given the longest jail term possible.

"Review site Rotten Tomatoes gave the film a 94 per cent rating and described it as a gripping drama."

Reality – which has a 12A certificate and runs for 83 minutes – is directed by Tina Satter, who also co-wrote it with James Paul Dallas.

It received a number of awards and nominations.

The Keighley Film Club screening takes place at the Picture House, in North Street, on Sunday, November 17.

The event also includes a locally-made short film as part of the programme.

Doors open at 5.30pm, and the screening starts half an hour later.
