SADLY, Jane Lee resigned as our honorary secretary on October 6, and Keighley Civic Society (KCSoc) thanks her for all her sterling work and efforts to get our society off the ground.

In the changeover period we may have missed contacting some of the people the society has been working with, for this KCSoc apologises but asks for their understanding.

In an attempt to reach those we have unknowingly missed, KCSoc would like to thank the Keighley News for publishing this letter.

Due to her resignation, Jane Lee is no longer the main contact for KCSoc, though her energy in this role has been much appreciated.

Let me introduce myself as Keighley Civic Society's new chair. My name is Emmerson Walgrove – many will know me from my involvement with local groups like Bradford Cyrenians, Sight Airedale and Keighley Sea Cadets.

For the near future, I will be the first point of contact for KCSoc – via email on chairofkcsoc@gmail.com, or contact us, as usual, via our Facebook page Keighley Civic Society-KCSoc where you can continue to post 'grot spots' and 'gems', blue plaque suggestions, link to consultations that affect the town, inform us of problems that you want addressing and suggest things the society may get involved with. KCSoc looks forward to hearing your ideas.

Alone we can do so little; together as a team we can do so much. Thanking you in anticipation of your co-operation.

Emmerson Walgrove, chair, Keighley Civic Society (KCSoc)
