KEIGHLEY'S world-famous steam heritage railway was showcased at a parliamentary event.
Representatives of the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway – including Dr Matt Stroh, Oliver Harrison and Noel Hartley – travelled to Westminster for a Heritage Rail All-Party Parliamentary Group gathering.
During the trip they met with Keighley MP Robbie Moore.
He said: "It was fantastic to meet-up with our brilliant Keighley & Worth Valley Railway team in Parliament as part of the Heritage Rail All-Party Parliamentary Group event.
"Our iconic railway is a key engine for the local economy, tourism and economic growth.
"The previous Conservative Government made major steps towards securing the future of the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, investing millions in critical repairs and upgrades and helping to increase visitor capacity.
"As Keighley’s MP I will be doing all I can to ensure that our new Government is just as focused on support for heritage railways."
