TRIBUTE has been paid to two young brothers who tackled Yorkshire's Three Peaks in support of a village Christmas lights campaign.
Oliver and Joshua Todd scaled Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough to raise money for this year's Oakworth festive display.
Their efforts coined-in £470.
Irene Fowler, from Oakworth Christmas Lights Group, called at the village primary school to present the brothers with certificates.
"We wanted to give these two amazing boys some recognition for their outstanding fundraising," says lights group chair, Mags Dearden.
"Well done boys."
The previous day, Irene and Mags had visited the school to launch a Christmas poetry competition for Key Stage 3 children.
Winner of the contest will switch on the village lights, on Saturday, December 7, at 5pm, and read out their poem.
The switch on ceremony will be preceded that afternoon, from 2.30pm, by Oakworth Village Society's annual Christmas fair.
Attractions at the event – being held in the village hall – will include stalls, games and a range of family activities.
Oakworth Gala Queen Annie Hardman will judge a drawing competition.
And refreshments will be available upstairs in a Christmas cafe.
