BATMAN swooped to help switch on Silsden's Christmas lights.
The superhero was on hand to assist the Friends of Silsden Green Spaces with yesterday's ceremony.
Celebrations began in the morning with the opening of a Christmas market at the town hall.
The market – which ran throughout the day – included a Santa's grotto, cafe, and stalls hosted by businesses and community groups.
Crowds gathered in the memorial gardens at around 4pm for carols with Churches Together.
And children were given free light sabres ahead of Batman's arrival.
The event was organised by volunteers from the Silsden Gala team, which was delighted with how the day went.
Members are now planning events for next year, and would like to hear from anyone interested in helping – email silsdengala@gmail.com or visit facebook.com/SilsdenGalaTeam
