FREE children's Christmas discos are being held in Keighley for a fourth year.

The discos were the brainchild of Laura Kelly.

And this year the initiative will again take on added poignancy for Laura, whose husband Paddy died in September last year after a short illness.

The discos were renamed Paddy's Parties in his honour.

There will be three events this year – taking place next Friday (December 6) and then on the following two Fridays, December 13 and 20.

The Party Hub, in Russell Street, is once again hosting the discos.

They will run from 4.30pm to 6pm, and the children will be provided with tea, a disco and party games, and there'll be a visit from Santa.

Vanessa Turbitt, a co-organiser, says: "These events are so important to the community, and with our team of wonderful volunteers and the fantastic support of generous local people and businesses, we can again provide an opportunity for the most special children to get together and celebrate."

People are invited to nominate a child, who should be aged between two and 11 years old, to take part.
