AN event is being staged next weekend as part of a fundraising church hall appeal.
The Save the Hall campaign aims to fund work to the St Stephen's building, in Steeton.
A spokesperson says: "The hall is suffering from dry rot, so we are holding various fundraising activities to ensure we have a hall for community use for generations to come. It is well used by groups, and for activities and events."
A Christmas craft morning takes place at the hall on Saturday, December 7, between 10am-noon.
People can make rag wreaths, felt Christmas tree decorations or wool-wrapped trees.
The cost is £15, including materials and refreshments.
Places must be pre-booked – phone 01535 654422 or call at Julie & Joanne hairdressers in the village.
