FREE monthly singing workshops are being launched in Keighley's Airedale Shopping Centre.
The drop-in sessions will give people the opportunity to sing with piano accompaniment.
Led by Hannah Butterfield and musician Shane Durrant – a singer, pianist and composer who has performed across the world – the workshops are open to anyone.
The first takes place on Friday, December 13, between 3pm and 4pm.
Hannah, who is working in Keighley as a creative practitioner with Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture, says: "I'm buzzing to be bringing this idea to life.
"Singing is so good for your wellbeing – physically and mentally.
"We know there are many 'unsung heroes' in Keighley, and lots of brilliant singing groups. This is a project that helps us find those people to collaborate with in 2025. If you’re unsure whether this is for you, please come along and say hello.
"It's a chance to raise the roof with uplifting songs that you learn as you go. No experience is necessary."
The workshops – funded by Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture, and supported by the shopping centre – will continue throughout next year.
