A COWLING man has grown a moustache – and funds – for charity.
Mark Desgranges has raised £240 for Movember, the men's health movement.
The 45-year-old had the idea of supporting the cause while listening to the radio one morning on his way into work.
He set up an online fundraising page – at justgiving.com/page/mark-desgranges-1729764735186, where people can still donate – and nurtured his new 'tache throughout November.
"I would like to thank everyone who has donated to my Just Giving web page," says Mark.
"I'd especially like to thank the people at Afibel who I work with, Ermysted’s Old Boys’ Society and Skipton Athletics Club. The money they have raised will help change the face of men’s health.
"Growing the moustache was a bit of fun, but it became very itchy the bushier it got. I’ve been looking forward to shaving it off – facial hair doesn’t suit me."
