Spooks haunting Long Lee and central Keighley have been revealed by local people.
They have told writer and tour guide Malcolm Hanson about ghosts seen in the two areas.
They were responding to an appeal by Mr Hanson in the Keighley News for supernatural stories.
He has been commissioned to write a book entitled Mysterious Keighley for the History Press.
Rather than rehashing tales from previous books he wanted new spooky stories from the town.
Mr Hanson wanted to know about mysterious objects or locations, from stone heads on walls to figures from the past.
Mr Hanson said the most promising story concerned a mill in the Park Lane area. In his previous book, Keighley’s Darkest Secrets, he made vague references to a girl haunting a former mill owner’s house.
He believes he has uncovered the identity of the young girl, who died before reaching adulthood in Victorian times.
