Freemasons are supporting the special Olympic dream of young disabled athletes from the Keighley area.
They have given £1,500 to help teenagers and adults compete in this summer’s Special Olympics. Masons met some of the athletes last week when they presented the cheque.
Members of the masons’ Rugby Football Lodge, based in Huddersfield, visited a session in the town.
The lodge had applied for the £1,500 from its West Riding principal grandmaster’s fund.
Masons spokesman Leslie Hainsworth said he was pleased to be able to give money to help disabled athletes.
