Manorlands has officially launched its “Big Wigs” chal-lenge.

Around a dozen companies are doing battle to be crowned Char-ity Entrepreneur of the Year.

Each has been given £50 and over the next four months will aim to increase the amount, with the proceeds going to the Oxenhope Sue Ryder Care hospice.

Those taking part include Party Starz, Shimla Spice restaurant, Prestige Driver Training, The Re-tail Factory, Althams Travel, Keighley and Skipton, Debt Advi-sory Line, Aladdin’s Cave Chil-dren’s Indoor Play Centre, Harri-son & Clough, Specsavers Skip-ton, Fun Planet Group and Mine Creative Haworth Ltd.

Manorlands fundraiser Carly Balmforth said: “This is a really exciting challenge for both Sue Ryder Care and the companies taking part.

“It is wonderful to see a net-work of companies being enthusi-astic and eager to get into the team spirit and support their local hospice. I would like to say a very big thank you to the teams for their continued support and I wish them all the best of luck with their fundraising.”
