Three children escaped uninjured this morning when the bus they were travelling to school on skidded on ice.
The single-decker vehicle became stuck in Mytholmes Lane, Haworth, following the incident at 7.45am.
The Transdev Keighley & District 943 service was travelling between Ingrow and South Craven School, Cross Hills.
Police were alerted and asked the council to send a gritter to the scene so that the vehicle could be safely moved.
A bus company spokesman said: “The driver and three passengers were on board and none were injured. There was minimal damage to the vehicle and once the road had been gritted the bus was able to proceed on its way.”
West Yorkshire Police said there were countless reports of accidents across the county this morning due to black ice.
