Money could become available to improve Oxenhope’s children’s playground, near the playing fields.
John Scholefield, of Bradford Council’s parks and landscapes department, told Oxenhope Parish Council Bradford district was expected to receive about £1 million from a major Government investment scheme.
He said money should start to be made available from April 1.
He said a committee would be formed to administer the funding and receive bids for financial support. He said parish councils such as Oxenhope would be well placed to make some of the bids on behalf of the communities they represented.
A resident who addressed the meeting told Mr Scholefield that the village’s play area was badly in need of refurbishment.
