An Oakworth cross roads which has been the focus of complaints about speeding might become subject to a 30mph restriction.
A proposal has been officially announced and advertised for the junction of Slack Lane, Cure Hill, Slaymaker Lane and Mackingstone Lane.
The recommendation has been agreed by Keighley Area Committee.
The month-long period during which the proposal will be advertised is to give people an opportunity to register any objections with the district council.
At the end of the period the recommendation will return to the area committee for a final decision.
The junction, on the northern outskirts of the village, is currently in a 60mph zone.
Area committee chairman, Councillor Glen Miller, said: “I think this would be a worthwhile traffic restriction and should stop the concerns of many residents.”
