A woman and her child were taken to Airedale Hospital following a crash at Cross Roads yesterday evening.
The accident happened at 7.30pm when the woman, believed to be in her 30s, was driving along Halifax Road near to Sugden End Tip.
Following the incident, the woman – who was complaining of neck, shoulder and chest pains – was cut free from her car by fire crews from Keighley and Haworth.
Her vehicle, a green Peugeot 106, had flipped over on to its roof. No other vehicle was involved.
The child, believed to be around 10 years old, was released more easily.
Keighley firefighter Joe O’Keeffe commended a passing doctor who stopped and helped the injured passengers until ambulance crews arrived.
Mr O’Keeffe said: “The doctor stayed at the scene right up until the woman was taken to hospital and we are very grateful to him for his assistance.
“Both passengers were suffering from shock and the woman was given oxygen.”
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said both passengers received slight injuries.
