Schoolgirl Sumairaa Khalid has designs on the future.

She won a competition at St Andrew’s Primary School, in Keighley, to create a picture for its new brochure.

Her design was selected by the school’s senior management team and she was presented with various goodies in an assembly. Four runners-up also received prizes.

Sumairaa was also treated to a visit to Imprint, in Keighley, which is producing the brochure, where she saw her drawing being transformed for use in the publication.

She was presented with a large laminated version of her design.

Elaine Ellis, school business manager at St Andrew’s, said: “Sumairaa thoroughly enjoyed her visit and was amazed to see her drawing coming off the huge machinery.

“We would really like to say thank you to Imprint for spending time with Sumairaa and for the lovely print it gave her.”
