Keighley Library temporarily shut down after two separate power cuts today.
Properties on Albert Street, Scott Street and North Street were affected by the shutdown between 10.05-11.10am and 11.30am-12.10pm.
Michael Sargood, spokesman for CE Electric, said that there was moisture on the cables in the area and more permanent repairs would have to be made in the long-term.
He said: "We restored the power as quickly as we could but we recognise the inconvenience caused by this and will continue to monitor the electricity supply in the area and take action needed to prevent repetition."
