Police recovered a body from a Haworth reservoir on Saturday.
Officers are investigating a possible link between the body and a missing persons report they received on Friday night.
Inspector Paul Clynch, of Keighley Police, said there had been concern about the welfare of a 65-year-old man who had gone missing from the local area.
He said: “As a result searches were carried out.
“A body was spotted in Lower Laithes Reservoir near Stanbury and underwater search teams recovered the body at around 10am.”
Police today said there were not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and the case had been passed to the coroner.
The identity of the dead man has not yet been revealed. A post-mortem examination is due to be held tomorrow.
