Oxenhope Parish Council became the first authority in Yorkshire to be re-accredited with Quality Parish Council status.
The body was originally awarded the distinction four years ago.
Last Thursday the re-accreditation — in the form of a certificate — was formally presented to Cllr Cameron by Cllr Hill.
The status is part of the Government’s Quality Parish and Town Council scheme.
It is meant to recognise those councils judged to be particularly effective at representing their parishioners.
Cllr Cameron singled out the work of parish council clerk, Elaine Pearson, for special praise.
