Police are investigating a ferocious blaze which took hold of a derelict building near Cullingworth Primary School early on Saturday.

The fire broke out at EK Animal Foods, off Halifax Road, at about 1.50am, engulfing the two-storey building in flames. Watch manager Gary Davis, from Keighley Fire Station, said that when firefighters arrived at the scene the entrance to the site had been blocked off. He said there was a bulldozer parked across the entrance road so all the equipment had to be carried half a mile. The building was already well alight was extensively damaged.
