A police operation aims to ensure a safer winter for Keighley motorcyclists.
Officers from the Keighley neighbourhood policing team (NPT) hope to help bikers safeguard themselves and their machines.
The team has already mounted a patrol and display in Hard Ings Road, where they spoke to and advised passing riders.
Officers are promoting the wearing of reflective materials and protective gear, as well as stressing the importance of making sure lights and brakes work properly.
The police are also dishing out anti-theft tips, encouraging bike owners to fit their machines with alarms and immobilisers.
Insp Wayne Horner, of Keighley NPT, said: “This time of year traditionally sees a rise in motorbike accidents and a significant number of these can be down to the simple fact that bikes are harder to spot for drivers as light levels reduce.
“By advising riders on safety issues such as the correct reflective gear to wear and the importance of making sure the right lights are on, we can hopefully have an impact and reduce their odds of being in an accident.”
