Charity fundraising is set to blossom at a Cullingworth school.
Parkside post-16 students planted daffodil bulbs near the school gates earlier this month to launch a series of activities in aid of the Marie Curie Cancer Care Field of Hope appeal.
Post-16 enrichment officer Philip Logan said: “When the charity approached us a few weeks ago, the students readily agreed to help.
“The bulb planting is a launch pad for a number of other events we’re staging for the charity during the coming months.
“Staff, students and teachers have already donated funds and we’d like to thank Stephen Smith’s garden centre, in Harden, for donating the sack of bulbs,” he said.
