A Worth Valley pet welfare group has won official recognition after passing a rigorous inspection of its base in Cross Roads.
By fulfilling the tough criteria, Haworth Cat Rescue was able to become a full member of the Association of Dogs and Cats Homes (ADCH).
The charity’s campaign manager, Corinne Moore, said: “The ADCH acts as a platform for identifying and disseminating information on best practice in the rescue and rehoming of cats and dogs and for raising standards in animal welfare. It sets the highest standards and it is an honour that our application for membership has been successful.
“Among the ADCH’s core aims is to combine resources to encourage workable, pet welfare enhancing legislation — something which we very much support. Membership enables us to add our voice to this well respected organisation and unite with other charities nationwide to strengthen the cause and improve the lives of animals.”
