A national chain which owns a Keighley pub is looking for a local person to run the premises.

The Stockbridge Arms, in Bradford Road, is currently being managed by a holding company.

But Punch Taverns — which owns about 7,000 pubs across the UK — wants to find a more permanent landlord. It has recently invested in enhancing the property’s interior.

Business relationship manager, Jim Owthwaite, said: “It’s a big pub and it’s quite a landmark. We’ve created a nice function room inside and it’s probably got the biggest beer garden in Keighley, as well as plenty of parking.

“We could do with a local person to take it on — someone with good local contacts who knows the community.

“We’ve had a holding company in place for about four months, so we’d really like to get this sorted. The pub could be a great asset but I’m not sure whether many people know it’s available to let.”

He said he would be available to talk to at the pub on December 10, from noon to 6pm.

He can be contacted on 07500 786475 or email jim.owthwaite@punchtaverns.com.
