A student at Keighley’s college has been officially crowned the first Leeds City College Student of the Year.
Sean Rodgers became a qualified motor vehicle technician after taking his apprenticeship at the college’s Keighley Campus.
The former Keighley College, most recently Park Lane College Keighley, this year became part of the newly-merged Leeds City College.
Sean was among 65 students receiving prizes at the college’s first awards ceremony — predicted in the KN last week. Sean attended the college through the Entry to Employment scheme, completing level 2 and 3 apprenticeships.
He was chosen for the award for his outstanding progress and achievements, which demonstrated the importance of meeting employer needs.
