A Keighley company which provides websites for the education sector has gone to the aid of a Durham school.

WebAnywhere, based at the Aire Valley Business Centre, has supplied Coxhoe Primary with a free site so that it can continue to share online learning resources with schools across the country.

The site has been created using WebAnywhere’s “School Jotter”, a concept sold to more than 2,000 schools nationwide.

Coxhoe Primary head teacher Stephen Jones said: “We are proud so many schools and teachers use our site because we feel it is important that educational resources are freely accessible. We are happy to share this information with any school, pupil or parent who wants it. Ultimately, we hope that sharing information in this way will play a significant part in putting schools across the country on a level playing field.

“The site encourages pupils to extend their school learning and also allows parents to take an active interest in what their child is learning and how it is being taught.”
